What Oil do yall Run? I've been running Amsoil Synthetic. Any one run Pro Honda HP4M?

always used mobil 1 in everything!! on a sportbike forum a guy posted results of oil testing from where he worked in cali...mobil 1 was as good or better than all the exotic syn oils. and much cheaper!!

well I like to stick with Honda products so I run the Honda HP4 without moly 10W-40.

I use klots mx4 15w-50. It's a full synthetic and it smells good.

Fully synthetic Mobil 1 15w-50, cant beat it! Royal purple is some really good oil but it cost a lot for that, I wouldnt use it in offroad stuff probally automotive but Mobil 1 is great

Bringing an old thread back to life..
I just got this 06 450er and the previous owner was running rotella.. Id like to put something better in it.. Im leaning towards Amsoil...Does the Amsoil 4 stroke work in both the engine and tranny? Or does the tranny get something else?

You'll get a million answers on this. I run mobil1 4 stroke for motorcycles on the crank side (cause it's carried everywhere) and Honda transmission on the tranny side.

I love Amsoil but I use rotella 15w-40 because I change it every other ride

I used to be a firm believer in high quality oil until my first tranny explosion, then I figured all those 14.00 a quart oil changes was a waste of money. :thumb: I run rotella

Any of the above oils are fine as long as you change the oil every 5 or 6 hours. Remember that it uses less than a quart for each so it breaks down fast.

Rotella 15w-40, I run it in my truck (diesel) and all my equipment and my ltr has never had anything else since the first oil change.
