so as some of you know I picked up another 450. It is a 2005 and runns good I just have to do some minor stuff to it and it will be good to go. If anyone has some stock or other front tires they are selling I need front tires and a rear grab bar for a Honda 450. Here are some pics

Nice, now you have a practice bike. How much you pick it up for?

Nice!! Im sure you got a killer deal. I know theres a guy on ATVflorida parting out an entire XC 450 if ya need parts.
The rear tires are directional and one of them is on backwards. Seems like you need to flip one of them around on the wheel itself, not just swap sides.
Just how I see it :)
Now you got a "beater bike" to try crazy stuff on. Maybe "gnarly hill" will be conquered soon!

I just went out and checked those tires. I dont see any directional marks on them. So I dont think they are directional.

If I keep it that will be the Idea. I have something in the works right now. we will see what happenes.
Reason I think they are directional is that the pattern I can see in the pictures show the blocks all angled to the Left on both tires. It would seem that if both tires angled to the left that it would produce thrust under acceleration to the right some and the rear would end up with some inherent steer to the right.
Graphically this is what I see in the pictures:
Left Tire...........................Right Tire
/ / / / / ........................... / / / / /
I think it should be something like this instead:
/ / / / / ........................... \ \ \ \ \
OR
\ \ \ \ \ ............................ / / / / /
Either arrangement would cancel out the thrust from each tire.
Let me see if I got a picture of the back end of Xavier's bike... he has similar angled tread pattern I believe. Someone else does too, but I can't remember who. Oh yeah... it's Dave... I think...
Anyway...I'm going off what I can see in your pictures. I could be seeing it wrong too.
I'm not above being just flat out wrong on the entire deal either. It just seems odd to me to have them both angled in one direction unless you are circle tracking the thing :)

my tires appear like this: / / / / /------------- / / / / /
but they are directional. the walls on the inside and outside are different. And yes they are on correctly.
Interesting Dave...You got a picture handy of the rear of your bike?
