I have used the metal cutting blades and it goes through like butter.
you will also need the new bolt and the new races or sleeves because
they will be stuck to the bolt. I have heated them with a torch on a bench
they are a bear to remove without distorting then to some degree.
Good luck!

well i gave it hell and more :cussing: i cant :cussing: believe it. the sleeve over the bolt (which i think is rusted on causing the stick) must be :cussing: titanium or something. i have this with "heavy metal" cutting blades...

Can I ask, what brand blade are you using?

you need to use the side with the teeth not the smooth side :justkidding[1]:

Hey txysoreass hahaha
are you cutting between the frame and the outer washer not near the engine
out towards the frame those sleeves are hard to cut.
This is almost like a soap opera
and like the grains of sand so are the days of our lives.
I am sorry for laughing but it is just funny.
Someone even asked if you were using the teeth on the blades
I just about pissed my pants.
OK talk at you later let me know whats up and keep the pics coming.

damn recip saw was worthless. i decided to notch the sleeve to get the blade to stay and get started. man i love the friggin dremel, put on the cutting disc and cut like a champ. i try the saw again and it is just too much and too sloppy. so i decide to cut around the sleeve se what happens. welll i cut one ring and get it to come off. bolt goes in further! i cut another ring...and further!! i :cussing: run out of discs. :cussing::evilgrin[1]: off to lowes i go...more discs...

hello everyone, tough being unemployed for 3 month now,at the shop i worked at, when a bolt-stud broke we wound weld a larger nut and then use a axle puller(slide hammer) screwed into nut to remove bolt-stud! hope that works because i might be in the same boat with my 400ex,450er-jr

Not to diss anyones tool, but DeWalt makes the best sawsall out there. I do a lot of work commercially and have yet to have a problem with one. I have a corded Milwaukee sawsall also which hasn't been out of the case in 3 or 4 years. Glad you got the project going in the right direction now.
