Went to the doctor's this morning. My neck and shoulder have been killing me for the past few weeks. Doc said I have a slipped disc in my neck. I'm like, "that sounds like it sucks". The doc confirmed that it sucks.
B,
I asked the doctor what this injury could possibly be from. He asked me, "Do you ride quads with your buddies"? I replied, "why yes, I do ride quads with my buddies". He then asked, "does one of your buddies ride a TRX450R with the HRC kit?". To which I replied, "yes, my buddy B rides a 450R with the HRC kit". He then proceeded to tell me that my injury is a direct result of holding back at the MX track so as not to hurt the feelings of my buddy with the 450R/HRC kit and that the YFZ450 is a superior ride in every way possible. He said that if I would have actually attacked the doubles instead of going single/single, my body would have taken a much softer beating and saved my neck. I told him, "my buddy B is really sensitive and I did not want to hurt his feelings by making him look like a fool on the track and leaving him in my dust." The doctor then replied, "your buddy B is a big boy and can take care of himself. By taking him under your wing and teaching him the ways of the MX track, you could have saved your neck and helped your buddy increase his self esteem." He was one of the smartest doctors I have ever encountered.
