Okay I'm thinking about going But I have a couple of questions. Is it worth pulling a toy hauler up there. Or just getting a little shack for a couple days. Just trying to figure out gas pulling it up and back and lot. It's probably easier just to rent the out house with the lazy bowl and i'll be good to go!:drink1: Does most of everyone rent the cabins? And how much to ride?

You're lookin at like $75 to ride. It's $50 for a weekend, and $25 for a weekday. I dont know what gas is like pulling a toy hauler, but the Cabins are fairly inexpensive, and if you guys plan it together then you can chip in and split the cost to save cash. I stayed in a hotel last year and loved it LOL (I can be a girl sometimes). I'd probably get a cabin this year because it was pricey. I spent $600 dollars on the trip last year to cover my half of everything; gas, food, alcohol, lodging.

Oh and if I see you there, you better have a bday present for me ;) lol

Hey was checking out the Durhamtown website today, and it said you should book your cabins at least a month ahead of time. I know we are about to be two months out at the new year. I did not know if anyone wants to split a cabin or even a few of us? I think we should get a list of who is going and see how we can work it out to be the cheapest for everybody. I will drive my truck and some people can ride with me. I think CRASH is heading things up so maybe we can all let her know who is going for sure. That way we can get the cabins all togeather. If there is anything I can do to help with this trip let me know...Thanks And Merry Christmas everyone!!!!!!

RV

I get 6-7 MPG when towing my RV so my cost for there and back is about $400
A RV site is $30 a night so that will be $90 for Thursday to Saturday
I will be bringing my own food which I estimate to be about $50 for my share
I plan to bring 3 people with me so if we split everything it should cost my group $220-250 each for everything

Cabin

If towing a trailer with 3 or 4 quads I would get 10MPG so there and back would cost about $240
The average cost of a cabin is $75 a night so that is $225
no place to store food in the cabins so I would assume you would have to eat out which would prolly cost about $75 everyone is differant but I eat alot
so for me split with only 3 people should be around $240 so I guess money wise it's about the same but I'd rather have my own shizzzzzzzz :devillook:

I just called Durhamtown Plantation, still has plenty of cabins but now it all depends on who your going to sleep with. Some cabins sleep 4 but 2 singles and a double? Or sleep 3, 1 single and a double. SORRY! I sleep with no man.:wtf: I just made reservations for the Armadillo. Sleeps five but 3 singles one double. Full bath TV,DVD,Frig, Micro,H/A. So Crash 250, Manning, Chef Dave, you guys still in? I've got till the week before to cancell. HEY! If any of you guys want to sleep together (excluding Me) I'm fine with that. We'll get the $65.00 a night. It's worth 30.00 bucks not to sleep with another man.:crackup:.Post up!:drink1: Who all still in?

I am still planning on going if the weather is good!!! Cr ash 250 and chef dave are not going now, they are to motoplex that weekend. I want to go if its not raining and 20 degrees. I have one other issue dont think it will be a problem, but my wife's mother had open heart and is in a rehab. My wife has to go to Mi. for a week when she gets out dont know when that will be. If it is during that time frame I will not be able to make it because I will have watch my kid while wife is out of town.

The guys that work there run night rides on Fri and Sat night. Its 15 bucks for operators and 5 for a passenger if you are 2 up. Some of the trails you ride aren't even open yet. They meet in the lodge around dinner time and there is a sign up sheet at the desk. There was about 20 of us last time. They ride with a guy out front and one in the back.
