TBRD Track Day *when??*

im ready to hit the track again. even old and slow, its alot of fun!
my older daughter wants to try it too. I know some folks have expressed the desire to try it also. anyone can ride on the track, its not limited to fancy quads or fancy apparel.

As Andy had mentioned, Lakeland would be a good place to go on a sunday practice day since they dont have a membership fee. it is $25 to ride for the day. no special equipment is needed on the bike either. open 10-3.

i am going to try and get a group discount if we get enough interest.

this thread will have a poll on different days we can shoot for. i checked the site and it looks like feb. 10 is out for a race. no other dates are shown.

so vote on the poll for the date you can commit to....and post up your thoughts.

SWEET. i was nervous the first time and still am but once you get going it is alot of fun and a vicious workout for my 38yr body. wish i could trade it in for a newer model with less mechanical issues :eek: bahhhh

get the boys together and lets do it! sooner the better.

Ya know in thinking about riding a track it reminded me.....

I would really like to hit the Motoplex in Northern Florida one day. I have read great things about it and it seems to have a bit of everything. Maybe one weekend we can make a trip up.

i would love to try to ride a track .just not good at jumping and well i have alot to learn .i can go any of them days also so it up to you all what day you want to go .

I need to work on the jumping as well. And any of those days would work for me, the sooner the better...

dont worry about the jumps, you can roll just about all of them. i recall a couple dropped off the back but it wasnt a big deal. i may jump a small double and thats it. they break each session by rider type so dont worry about getting run over.

i emailed the track but have not gotten a response yet on a discount.

For what's its worth, I have ridden all of the tracks within 2 hours of Tampa with the exception of Gatorback and Lakeland is my 2nd favorite track. First place has to go to Waldo. Waldo has the longest straight of any track in the state (5th gear pinned for what seems like an eternity) and Mt. Waldo is the best jump ever!

2/17 is the Daytona 500. Maybe going to that but not looking like it at this point
