Careful in the mud holes. Let someone else go first. I saw a guy lose his jeep in one. I mean, he was going in and it just dropped off. All you could see was alittle bit of the spare tire on the back. It gets alittle crazy out there.

I have heard that place is absolutely NUTS! I was going out there this Sunday but changed my mind after reading some of the chit I have read on here and other places! I have also heard a few stories about it from people I know. I was planning on bringing my daughter but after hearing that I'll pass! I'd rather not have to serve a lengthy prison term for shooting some hillbilly for doing something to put my daughter in danger! :drink1:

Ok so can I get the REAL scoop? I am not willing to find out the hard way with my daughter on the back of my quad. Anyone who goes out there maybe you can shed light? Stories are always embellished and what not so lets have the real dirt! :drink1:

Well I bit the bullet and went to Rancho with a friend of mine this morning. It was not bad, a lot of trails and what not, plenty of mud and stuff to climb. LOTS of DEEP water to watch other people get stuck in, but overall it was a good time!!:drink1:

Did you go in the front entrance or did you have to go thru the paid to enter part???

Reckless01

Went in the "front" entrance about 1/4 mile (according to the lil sign) from the parking place. We parked right in front, and I left the gas can full of gas in the truck. Surprisingly enough it was still there when I got back! I was a bit uneasy at 1st as I watched a tow truck flatbed leaving out of there with a burned out F150 on its back. But we got there around 9am, and rode till around 1:30. I had a minor breakdown which required a Honda to tow the Suzuki back to the truck VIA rope! The battery lost a cell or something and wouldn't charge! Thanks to the super nice South African bloke who stopped in his jeep and offered up a jump! It didn't work and of COURSE it was in the THICK part where it happened. My friend Stuart brought his friend who was riding a 2x4 Warrior which promptly got stuck over and over again. Well it got REALLY stuck and we had to help her get it out. Well after I got back on my quad I hit the key and POOF! All the lights went out on the gauges! SO....I ended up with a tow back to the truck and a trip to wallyworld later I was up and running! I did NOT go into the DEEP stuff, nothing over 3' anyways. mostly hard stuff and slimy muck! I had to use the 4x4 like maybe 5 times and the diff lock / reverse rev override 1 time! My favorite times were when the guy I was riding with (who was on 27's w/ 2" lift to my 26's stock lift BTW) would get hung up and have to rock it to get it out....I'd putt in and just wallow through nice and easy...I'd pop out and yell "Hey Stu...2 wheel drive bitch!!" It was all in good fun and I learned alot about the capabilities of these things! I am impressed! I'll definitely be back! As for pics....I didn't bring a camera but the girl who was with Stu did and she said she got some good vid and pics of us playing! Including the ride of shame when Stu pulled me back to the truck!

I'll post the pics soon!

Me in a pond or w/e it's at the beginning of the day and I'm feeling things out so no deep water....

http://s46.photobucket.com/albums/f1...Picture031.flv

Stuart stuck like Chuck in a hole. The kid in the white shirt helping was stuck in it when we got there and Stu just had to try it....I didn't! It looked like Redi-mix concrete and was 3' deep and bottomless!

Hey guys i have the address to the pay to park place it cost $5 and thay have bathrooms and water hose to wash off and the owner is a nice man he walks around and checks out everything and makes sure your stuff isnt getting broke into. This place really isnt so bad during the day. There is many of familys out there and little kids you wont have a problem with any body drinking starting fights! And with the news thing i just read come on they said ppl are relieveing themselves in the open its in the woods what do they expect for a redneck event you go to the 5 star bathroom and go piss!! I have been to this place many of times reciently and havent had a problems. The place in my opinion is really not the best to ride on bcause it is flat ground all the way except woops in the straight aways and there are alot of them. There are a few hills in some areas but they have a tree on the other side ya know. No fun! The address to the parking area is 44100 cr 54 e kathieen fl,33849 the man who runs its name is david 0'conner number to his cell phone is 863 279-5052. And also i have a nice place to ride on that i think is much better terrain and dosent have many of ppl there on weekends and is leagal and free it is in the valrico/brandon area if anybody wants to ride there i have axcess and would love to have ppl come out to there and ride with me so if you want to ride this weekend of christmas pm me and let me know when and i will send ya an address. Thanks brad

Rancho sucks after a few times of going out there the woops get old really quick and thats about all there is to do unless you have a 4x4 and like to go mudding. And drunk rednecks get old too. They dont have the same mind frame as the ppl riding sereously.its like sitting at the boat ramp on a holiday watching the drunk ppl load up there boats you allwayse see some funny ish. The same goes for rancho you never know what you will see out there.

the place pretty much sucks, trash, dirt balls, and people that DO NOT KNOW how to ride trying to go too fast with no direction. If you're looking for any jumps look elsewhere. if u want to sink your bike/ quad in mud, get drunk, and do other stupid stuff this is the place. I'll go else where.
