How freakin weird!!! Anyone have any insight on this?

I bought a used PEP stick stabilizer, got a great deal... went to install it, and it's nothing like the others I've ever seen before. It rests on top of my oil tank and touches the headers. Won't the heat from the headers heat up the oil in the stabilizer and cause it to not function properly? I kinda wish I had done more research before I bought it.

Here's a pic on someone else's quad I found online:

This is what it looks like:

Just installed it on her 400.. No matter how it sits , its either touching and flexing the oil tank , or if u slide it higher up on the stem to not touch the oil tank , its rubbing the oil cooler... It also adjusts its compression with an alan key and not just a quick turn of a knob... probably the worst design i have ever seen.

Not when you can Get Moog and Gibson for the same price.. Moog is probably the best stab i have had yet...But i had no complaints on my streamline

Elka FTW!

That is odd that it would sit against the tank, doesn't sound safe.

take a ford tool and put a big dent in the oil tank , problem solved, :thumb: or you could find some other way to mount it but that wouldn't be as much fun.

Why not just sell it for what you have into it and get a regular stick stab?

Yes i have seen many PEP stabilizers installed and am not a fan of the design. Is there a way to mount it on the other side of the bike?

I have been running the CCP on my LTR for the past two years with hundreds of hours on it. Its been the best $160 I've spent on ebay. All the sticks are the same with a different name on them and they have only lasted me for maybe one race season, then they have to be rebuilt and the hiem joints replaced. Your better off spending a $100 more now on a puck. You'll be saving in the long run. The CCP is built just like the Precison without the extra side to side ajustments. The best part is, it rides the same, at $340 less.:thumb:

The Streamline Stick Stablizer only lasted me 5 months before it blew it's load and I didn't buy the rebuildable one so what a waste of $$$$$$$ :cussing:
