i got home last night and passed out! wooooot was beat.
got home early fri and final paced and was ready, picked up Karley at school, droped her off at friends for night (wooot) and Michelle and i were heading by 430. rain was over but wet. got to gat and a front loader pulls out. hhhhmmm dont want to get stuck. "its fine, hard bottom a little mud" so we go and yes mud, drifting in ruts, roooooosting the trailer cause i was not getting stuck! then paid at the field booth and was fine from there, grassy.
we had a nice night, slept well and was ready. John, Brian and Andy arrived and we all registered. did the practice lap and  wow lots of water, water crossings and MUD! not to mention tight, oh did i say TIGHT, tree splits and a timing stop that ya bounced through. :thumb: it was nasty. but i decided was gonna make the best of it and was pumped to go. we watched the earlier races and got ready...
my race row 7 had 11 riders in my class. plus others totaling about 20 or so. i got off good (for me) mid pack and was off, getting roosted behind folks. dont go too far and stoppppp for a while, a rider 6 bikes in front had wedged where we HAD to go through, double arrow. took what seemed forever and we were off again. first day riding the twist throttle and loved it. was still getting used to it but all i used. bike was performing great and i was doing good too. several water crossings and mud sections i got thru good, never stuck. had some good races with a few guys, back and forth. i did have several issues with trees, stopped riders, stuck riders, missed a gate due to mud/rider and official saw me so i doubled back (just went around it by a foot, to avoid hitting it), and then on the last lap...i crashed hard, hit a tree with left rear and it high side ejected me when it kicked out, bike rolled upside down and i was thinking about smashing my phone gps (which i will upload later) and hopped up but was feeling sore (and suuuure do today ) pushed the bike over, hopped on and it fired, let out the clutch and it shut off??? check for anything obvious, none, fire it, clutch out and stall? uhoh? gotta finish so several more attempts, red line it and drop the clutch and it goes, sputters and i keep it hammered, not too far and stall in the finish chicane and it does it again, starts but shutss off on clutch out? till finally revvvvvv it and slamm it through....
ended up 6th of 11.... getting better. and really loving the racing, the friends, the people, camping and the fun it is all about!!!
cant wait for Gatorback!!!! wooooot bike WILL be ready!

Ok my terrible day!! The race started and I dont know how many was in my class or line but I know I had a good start and was close to the front. I hit the first big mud section and The bike felt like it started skipping teeth. It felt like the same as when I tore all the teeth on the front sprocket off. I limp the bike through the first lap, crash into a tree, and my throttle got messed up. I stopped to fix it and Brian Passed me. Finished the lap and called it quits, didnt want to mess up the bike worse. This was my first DNF, I am really pissed about it but Hopefully do better next race. I didnt wait to see any results.

I got there a little late and was not ready at all (no plates). Go sign up and get the bike ready, just make the practice lap by 5 min. On the start I think I was second to last but I was making my was through people. I got suck behind a few slower riders and everyone left me. Rode by myself most of the race and my transponder didnt work 2 times so I had no idea what place I was in. They sent me for a fourth lap but I didnt make it back in time so it didnt count. I ended up with 4th:bubbrubb2: Even with all the water and mun this had to be the most fun I have had racing:thumb:

i got to the first turn in fifth 1st in my class and was ahead of all the chaos that was about to happen behind me that brian green would have fun in. scored in 1st on lap one, lost the lead half way through the second lap, going back and fourth with #52 for the lead for thwe next lap and a half. got caught behind a c rider who stalled out and couldnt get it fired lost some time but still took home second place in senior quad. it was a very demanding race, line choice was crucial and keeping your speed up through the mud was just as important. looking forward to seeing everybody again at gatorback. i will be working the race if anyone else is interested in working it let me know. it doesnt cost any money to work and you get to ride all over the place and watch the racing.

I had a great time out there. With Durhamtown coming up I don't think I will be able to race until the end of March. I did sign up and get my numbers though:rock:. If I get a big week of overtime things will change. It was nice meeting some of the people from the site.

We tried a different race weekend routine this time. It failed miserably! Normally we come in on Friday nights and leave early Sunday morning. This time we tried to make a day race out of it and it just felt rushed all day. Will NOT do that again...
I got a mid pack start for my group. Then got stuck behind quite a few others that were piled up in the trees around double greens. Once we all get spread out some began to get into a good pace.. UNTIL... I buried it up to the frame out in the mud.. the first of many to come.. It was stuck so hard down in the mud that I began to think I wouldn't get it out. Finally I was able to drag it backwards and then continue on..
Lap 2 found me stuck on top of a large root once, another mud hole, and then the best was getting hung up climbing out of one of the water crossings. By then I had such a bad case of arm pump that I could barely hang on.
I have heard many riders say what a great that was but for me it was just another trip to "Mud-Akka". I have raced 3 times on property along Clay Gulley road and so far all 3 were my worst races. Am looking forward to sugar sand and dust after the last 3 mud races!!:wtf: With that said it's still racing and I enjoy it. Was great to see the TBRD turnout!
See you at the next one!

Was probably one of my worst races in 4 years! Hadn't ridden at all in over a month, got a horrible start, got held up by stuck riders in first 1/2 mile, try and go around another bunch of jammed up riders and get hung up in palmetto roots. By this time utilities and womens class are passing me when I get free. My tear offs get water behind them and I get stuck like 4 more times before it all ends. Still had fun and hope to redeem myself at Gatorback. If that one's wet though it'll only suck on the MX portion at least. The rest of the course is hilly enough that it usually drains pretty good. Hopefully be in better shape by then too.
