Ok, so I only had one lap of practice so I didnt know what all to hit thats why I ended up rolling some stuff. At 0:55 i was planning on hitting the double but got on the gas to hard and the back end came around. Then at 1:04 is where I landed hard, if you listen you can even hear the crowd gasp. My adrenaline was going so hard all I thought about right after it happened was Im in 1st i gotta win this thing. But when i got to the turn it hit me and i had to quit. The video doesnt really do it justice but oh well... heres the link...

oh and the after math was 2 broken vertebrates, and each is also crushed, and a compression fracture of my spine. I will be in a brace for 3 months and hopefully wont need surgery after.

So was that him? J/K

Sucks, that didn't even look like it was that hard... Amazing how little it takes to get SERIOUSLY hurt... We've all seen HUGE wrecks were people get up and walk away...

Speedy recovery.

Yes - it sure was. Toward the end of the video - I didn't realize it at first but I was filming the wrong hill and he came up the one closer to me and that's when I turned the camera to where he was pulled over by the official. As you heard in the video, once he landed past the tabletop and cased it - I had a feeling something was wrong but he kept going so I figured it was bike related, and then he got really slow around the last turns and crawled up the last hill and once I realized something was definietly wrong with him and I tasted my gutt in my throat I shut off the camera and ran over to him.

Well its been three months since Jacob's hard landing at Gatorback in February at an FTR Race and he's ready to start riding again. Went to the doctor yesterday and this is what the Doc said. . . per his Momma!

Easy riding – no jumps, no bumps, no competing. If he feels the slightest tingle or pain he must stop and immediately put on his brace.

Dr wants him to have another month of light activity, but he can do what he feels he can tolerate without pain.

Everything is healing great. He has slight pain when he sits a certain way for too long – Dr suspects it’s muscles getting situated.

No need for surgery or fusion – and actually it appears that 2 vertebrae have fused themselves together which means they’ll be stronger.

Go back on July 1st for another series of xrays and potentially his last appt.

So they are heading to Croom this weekend to try it out. I'm keeping my fingers crossed and saying my prayers he doesn't push himself too far.

My hubby, Boomer and son, BobbyC74 will also be out there with them trying out Bobby's new bike. Bobby will be on his new Honda300EX and his nerf bars aren't coming in til Monday, So my nerves are really on edge. Especially since I'm not going to be there with them. It's going to be a Xanax weekend for me.

If any of ya'll are going to be out there this weekend, keep an eye out for Bobby & Jacob and encourage them to ride smart! I'm so nervous, but its my job as a mom and aunt!

Have fun everyone and take care of yourselves and DRINK YOUR FLUIDS!!! It's going to be a hot one this weekend and we don't need any more injuries or heat strokes in the TBRD family - we've had enough lately.
