The course Had a lot of diffrent things in it. Between the mud, Palmetto's, whoops, and tree's. The main diffrance was There was alot more passing lines at the GNCC. I say go for it paul. The course designers come in and make the course anyway right?

I can lease 500 grassed acres butting on to the south of the property for camping/parking if I get a large event.

for the past 6 years that I've seen or race the GNCC here in Florida, they have only raced twice on the same property, but up north they race at the same places all the time so will see how that goes, at north there are some races with MX tracks as part of the corse, and MP should be a nice place to host a race, good luck, go for it :thumb:

Thanks, they told me they had a 2 year contract with RR, so we will see how it goes. There is also a rumor that they are going to start having 2 races in Fl and skip GA. Don't know how true that is though.

brian green and brian seckel, you are supposed to go around the trees in xc racing. hitting things typically will slow you down. brian s. get a gt thunder spocket and rotor guard asap

08trx450r
03-01-2010, 08:25 PM
yeh its in the plan for the rotor guard!! I will be out for a week or so. The bike is trashed with mud and grass. so I will be taking the bike apart this week and weekend and cleaning everything. I still need to findout what bent on the steering.

I thought hitting the tree's make it more challanging. I have yet to todally get what trees will bend and How thick the ones that wont are???lol

TRXasaurus
03-02-2010, 08:45 PM
ouch bri wtf? never seen that

and i found out my left wheel is toaaaast warporama :tard[1]:

but.....i had a blast! cant stop thinking about it! only bad was i think we were the only ones who followed the rules and shut off the generator. had a fan blowing accross a propane camp heater and was fine until the inverter began beeping. i shut it off and still saw red heat so went back to sleep but it must have run out because it got cold quick and i got up and fired up the generator and heat!

race day was perfect weather. if there were no mud sections the course would have been perfect. i say it was rough but it was standard fl racing but a mix of everything including riding under a bridge you had to duck under, mud, roooots, ruuuuuts and our fav whooooops.

i had my standard bad start, got arm pump instantly, got stuck behind stuck riders, got stuck because a rider stopped in ruts and had to lift out, but actually felt good end of second and 3rd lap, was passing people, just rippin as hard as i could, went down a fire road and missed the track and had to back track (you can see on my gps track)

then, again, same mistake, i looked back thinking an A rider was coming to pass and i hit something and see sky as i get high side ejected and bike coming, get up feel fine, see bent tie rod, start off fighting the urge to turn right. doing good and still think seckel in in front of me, i push a bit and wham it shoots out of a whoop into a tree and snapped the rod. i tried to go but the whoops turned the tire, i was .5 mile away from the finish and was lucky to pop out the woods and ride on flat grass back.

cant wait to do it again. it was great seeing everyone that came out and racing with brian.

a top experience with the quad and the racing community thus far.

you do realize that about half of all gncc racers sandbag, and what i mean by that is, if you run the "C" class the top few are acually "B" riders in their "regular" series and so on up the ladder, sad but true
for example, the winner of your class was had faster lap times than the vet A(30 +) i know there are alot of variables, but for the guys that are truly racing in the class they belong in, it is a great feelin to do well in your class

08trx450r
03-03-2010, 08:37 PM
well I really dont belive in sandbagging. SO I joined the C class like I race inthe local series to guage myself against other C class riders. If they are sandbagging then Its ok. It will only make me better. Because I will be pushing to beat them next season. or if I make another GNCC this season, I hope I will be able to do.

Brian, for what I understand, Loretta's is one of everyones favorite, so you can take it in consideration, besides is way closer then the other ones, New Berling, New York is the farthest one foe just about everyone
