Confused

I have a 97 blaster that I took into the shop b/c it was leaking oil but I didn't know where the guy at the shop said that all of the main case screws were missing and that they probably vibrated out and he said that if they vibrated out then something inside is unbalanced he also said that my motor mounts were broke but I don't recall seeing them broke I dunno wether or not I should let them tear it apart and find out whats going on or buy a new motor the guy at the shop said that buying a new motor is my best bet but how much could it coast to do what needs to be done and I dunno wether or not I should just take it somewhere else or what

Bolts do Vibrate loose...And If they did..Bingo , theirs zu're Reason for the leak!

And If u're missing Zur'e Motor Mount Bolts...Theirs U're reason for the Vibration...

Look, I wouldn't take the motor appart, I'll put all the screws back on, get new motor mounts and see how it rides !!!
A loose bolt is not an anusual situation, that happends all the time, that's why you have to check all the bolts and moving points to make sure everything is on the right place and conditions, when you lost the first bolts, some others were loose for sure, this create even more vibration then the usual and start breaking more things.

the last time I rode it it felt fine had the power and everything it was just leaking and the whole motor mount thing sounds funny b/c I put the bolt in it myself and it wasn't broke and if there was something unbalanced inside the motor wouldn't it be doing alot of other things like making noises and loosing power?

U have a 97....Gasket, Seals, Bolts that were "Lock-tite" become brittle...leaks just appear when u ride!


And, Yes!....Noise/rattling coming from the engine is a good indicator....That something is major going on inside.
