Motoplex Outlaw MX series HC video

I raced in the Novice class being that this was my first MX race I belive I was in the rite class. Moto 1

I get off to a bad start and is 3rd off the start. One rider Spins out in front of me and I get around him, I ride about a Half of a lap and the guy who spun out comes back around me. We both caught another rider and the two of them tangle. I get around Both of them Now I am in 2nd and I stay there for the rest of the Moto.

MOTO2

I get off to the same start as I did in moto 1-Crappy. Another rider spins out in front of me again and I get around him . At this point I was in 2nd but I thought I was Last or second to last. I am catching the only woman racing in our class. She was breaking going over most of the jumps and I had to slam on the brakes hard so I dont hit her. My hand comes off the bars one lap , and I almost go over the bars on another. It seemed that she was Blocking me every time I was going for the Pass. It was clear that I was faster but the track had only 1 line due to Water on the track. So The MOTO ends and I find out that I finished 2nd in that Moto, She finished First.

So with a 2,2 finish I finished 2nd overall, She must have finished 3rd in the first Moto and 1st in the second Moto and that gave her the overall win.

I will be racing again for this series on July 10th and 24th. Some more of the TBRD crew should come and race with us.

Yes was a little muddy and they had to reroute the track around water but as you can see by the video there was also standing water on the track also, casing one line racing, but it was still a great time.

no one hit the finish line jump on a quad , but one guy hit it and cleared it on a bike and made it look easy.

Thanks for posting the video Brian. Glad you came up and raced...maybe we will get you out of the woods and onto the track....you did pretty good for your first time racing.

Man the track was a mess....:eek: We went to start watering and grooming Friday night, it was a dust bowl, shortly after getting there, we had 20 minutes of rain, but it was a torrential downpour, we had 2-1/2 inches fall, so the track went under....made the best of it Saturday morning..but it was rough and offered very few passing opportunities.

If you TBRD guys want to come up to a race, we can organize a XC race for the Sunday morning...$5.00 gate fee then just $20 to practice and race the MX race Sat, then $10 to race the XC Sunday morning. Includes BBQ, camping etc. Could even pick up your shirts. Probably need to do it before the FTR starts.

Very nice video Brian... You can clearly tell you were faster than the rider in front of you. Looks like a good time no matter what though! :)
