I've never raced before. I wish I could understand the hare scramble rules and objectives a bit better. I think it would be a good time. I would end up in the 35+ class. I may go to check it out and see what it's like as a spectator the first time...

Thanks for the encourage Brian. We've ridden together once at Croom (7/10/2010). As you know I have the 700XX. Would I fit in a class with this? Also, the TRX is straight stock. I'm kind of a shy rider, not wanting to look like a complete mental case. This is a timed race with checkpoints and the like? I know you guys are great and I would have the best support. I actually went and bought some MSR riding pants and jersey. Looking for a good set of boots that won't require me to refinance my auto loan.

On honda's web site it says your bike is 46 inches wide,which is perfect. John's bike is 50 inches and makes it through. Your quad is pretty big but there are a few can am's that race and are bigger.Don't worry about what people think about you, go out and have fun. Ride at your own pace untill you get used to your bike while racing. One check point,where you have a transponder that will record your laps. They do have green arrows on the course that you have to ride inbetween and they do have people that watch these arrows.

I know this will sound stupid too, but I am trying to find the tether/kill switch for my bike. There's a dispute about whether it is a normally open or normally closed electrical system. But I did read somewhere that the kill switch for a 400EX will work.

I still can't get anything out of it because these people always argue.

It sounds like such a good time. I have always wanted to do it. I have no doubt about my machine's ability to get me through.

They're size 11, Fly Vipers. There a couple years old. One buckle is broken and they need to be cleaned up, but there for free.
