Track conditions were good. There was no dust and no mud. Was a little rough but not real bad.Track had some open and some tight area's. This was my first race of the season so I don't have anything to compare it to. I raced open B and got second off the start. I bumped a tree that spun me around and droped back to third and got back up to second place. My right hand cramped up bad on the second lap and couldn't finish.:cussing:

Andy, were you the only one that got bumped? Doesnt seem fair to let 7b stay because is fast too and now with you gone he will win the overall easily. I wonder if they bumped a few of the faster C riders, if they didnt then B class is going to be real small.

I was right on 7B until the tree jumped out in front of me. If I don't make alot of mistakes and work on my endurance, I know I have a chance. There was only four of us in Open B.

it was a fun track short but fun. not many passing places. reminded me of the first h.s. in lake city it was just as tight but you rode at a faster speed. gnarly roots and ruts. i holshot my line led for half a lap fell back to second and was following first when he ran over a 2 inch pine tree that was standing tall in the middle right of the track and it snapped back towards me at a 45 degree angle. my reaction was to swerve to the left just glancing off a pine tree that was larger and proceeded to make the quickest left hand turn/barrel roll i have yet to take. got the quad off me plugged in my tether and fired her up to continue chase only to notice that my left wheel was 90 degrees different than my right. broke the spindle right where the tie rod end bolts to it. so i only did 4.5miles of the first 5 miles which is how long the track was. im just pissed off that i can get great starts but cant capitolize on them. i havent been riding much since last season and it shows in my class because the rest of everybody has stepped it up big. i got the parts ordered so i should be good by brooksville. im contemplating moving to the c open class because i just feel like i dont have the speed to hang with the seniors this season and am making to many mistakes riding over my head to keep up fortunatly i have not hurt myself yet just my quad and wallet

I was on the same row as you but in Vet class. i seen you getting your bike off the trail. felt bad for ya man. sucks you had to wait out there that long. Pretty good race. like what was said on not many passing areas. my bike jinxed me on the line. it was starting fine before the start then it decided not to fire right off. i need to look at it again i guess. heck last race i got the hole shot but this one i was dead last. oh well. so i just put my head down and started digging. unfortuantly there was a couple accidents that happened in front of me and that kept me from catching 2nd and getting closer to 1st. felt good the hole race. the rekluse really came in handy this race for the really tight sections. for my son on the other hand it was a bad trip. during practice he didnt listen to well to dad to take it easy and he smacked and tree and broke a front shock in half and toasted a left lower a-arm. he was ok though. hit the tree so hard it made the bike flip a 180 and he was laying on the ground. i was chewing his @ss so bad people thought we was 2 racers fighting in the woods. lol. good times. so we are waiting on parts now so he can be ready for Brooksville. anyway, thats about it. i pulled a 3rd out of the day. thats about it for my report. sorry if i bored you.:thumb:

Yeah I saw that ... no offense Jim ... but age classes should have advance to open classes if dominating

We oughta propose an A and B in Senior since there's such a wide range of skill level and more than enough riders in this class. Wuoldn;t cause any more new rows or anything complicated just make it a little more fair for all. Anyone agree or disagree?
