Hey i am going to go out and buy new rear tires this weekend so i am ready to ride at ebmx on the 14. I have a 05 yfz 450 the factory tire size is 18x10x9 but i like the height of the 2011x9 tires some but they put the 18x10x9 on thre for a reason factory and am not sure wich size to get. So any helpfull comments will be appreciated. Thankyou.

The stock Yfz tires are Dunlop 20"s I believe.

either size will work for the track I would think, the 18s wouldn't be too good for trail riding though.

18's are what they use for motor cross an 20's are what us xc guys use but either one will work

you need two sets of tires and rims, one for track and one for trail. :thumb: i need a set for track myself.

Exactly. Additionally, if you change your rear size you'll want to change gearing to compensate.

I think you have 9" rear wheels not 10"

I got a nice rim and tire package for 200$ and the tires in that size were going to cost me around 200 alone the rims are nice looking but i dont think they are practical for use to race they are more for looks. The factory ones are lighter i think. But they will do since all i do is ride for me ya know. Anywayse i will be out there on fri so you guys can expexct to see them then. At least now i can get a set of the 18x10x9 for the factory rears to ride mx with and put these in for the trails since that is what i do most. Also the new rims have a blue flake paint so i took the front hubs off and have my friend painting them the same color to match. So it dosent look so weird having rims on the back. I think it will be nice it has kinda got me on a spree of painting parts and stuff on the bike but all that will have to wait till after fri. Dont want the bike down then i am excited to meet you ppl and learn from some pros!!!! ;)
