Your spark plug is missing and you're a valve short of being a Yamaha:drink1:

I see a possible H.P. gain! Get that thing together and lets go ride. My bike is suprisingly fast with the upgrades i've done. I can hang with a fresh stock 450 in the open. Even better in the woods. Looks like you will be just as happy with your upgrades. Whats your goal to finish? Let me know we'll do a run at my spot! Bye the way, your bike looks super sweet. Welcome to the frame up club!

From the pics the intake valves dont look new. Did they get into the valve guides on the exhaust side?

It dosen't look like it was polished very well, those look to be some deep grind marks still in there.

well the intake side should be rough because it keeps the fuel from puddling the exhaust side can be smooth.

I'm not real sure either. I have seen quite a few heads ported and polished but not a KFX 400. It may also be a strange angle for the pic. I do know as a rule you avoid taking too much meat around the valve guides. I just thought it looked odd. I hope it's perfect for you Bill, and I hope in this case I don't know as much about it as I think! Some times the valves sit around in the warehouse awhile. This could be why the valves look the way they do.If you have any aprehension about this you should ask the man who did the work. I hope everything is A OK and you get that beast together, i'm curious to see the end result!

well i went to see about the head and unbelievably the head is fine and apparently it is tarnish....i couldnt tell from the pic i took of it :tard[1]::tard[1]::tard[1]:... so for what it is worth sorry for the mistake on my part. those who know me know that im just as passionate as everyone else. Steve Glandorf at Modded Motosports proved me wrong and seems to be a stand up guy  and i would recommend him to anyone. hope this clears up any confusion.

Steve is a stand up guy for sure and stands behind his work. Vann's port work is always off the chain. I'm sure you wont be disappointed.
