I was thinking that it might be less confusing and more practical if every one brought their own food. This way we don't have to worry about how much food to bring. It wouldn't matter how many showed up there would be enough food. If any one wanted to bring extra like potato salad or some type off desert that would be great also...

Also where are we going to have the cook out? I'm thinking at the shelter but I didn't know if any one was thinking otherwise.

Any thoughts on this.

Somewhere close to some hills so I don't have to walk to far to launch my R/C car off something and I don't want to get jumped when I bring a 3 inch thick steak to cook

well, we can have it at the pavillion. i will get there early to hold a few tables.
i brought my grill last time but its not gonna make it this tour (old).

everyone bringing their own meat plus a little for extras sounds good. then bring a dish for sides. those we can coordinate whos bringin what if you have a specialty item you like to make.

hows that sound?

I'll bring potato salad. I like the idea of bringing your own meat as I'll prolly still be on my veggie burger kick...

Nothing gay about trying to lose weight. I've been doing the south beach diet since january and have lost 44 lbs. It has had a drastic effect on my riding. I'm faster and can go for alot longer than before.

Anyway, I'm in for this cookout, any ideas on what I should bring? If you guys want, I can bring enough hot dogs and buns for everybody, just let me know about how many would be needed.

How funny. I am on a diet as well. Just eating high protein. LEAn meats and green veggies. No sugar, carbs and all the fun stuff. So far I have lost 8 pounds over the last 6 days!!!!! I wanna drop 10 more over the next few weekes before my wedding. At this rate it won't be a problem!!!!

I'll probaby just much on some grilled chicken and a protein bar or something!!!

Thats pretty good. It drops off fast at first. I lost probably 20 lbs in the first two weeks, now it has slowed down a little bit.

Odd that this cookout food thread has turned into diet dicussion... Maybe I should skip the hot dogs and bring chicken instead.

This might sound strange, but, if u would increase u'r calorie intake by a few hundred calories...It would kick back in u're metabolism..and u will start sheding the pounds quicker again!

When U lose weight to Quick...u body thinks u are planning to stave u're self....So, the thyroid shuts down the fire in the metabolism out of survival.

So, u must Trick it...

This is 1 reason... Crash Diet's don't last...

BAc On Topic!

I will also bring burgers and buns and Chicken. I will be taking two small gas grills. And some kind of desert.. There will be 8 of us in our party. I will be up there by 7 or 7:30 AM I hope to get my usual parking space across from the shelter and hold it for any one else who wants to park there.

The last time I posted on here was, when I bent my frame on my Raptor. Cahills hooked me up with a new frame for about $600.00. I'm going to head-up to croom Saturday morning with the family. With all the meat coming, do I need to bring more charcoal and lighter fluid? (and a lighter).
