Well ive been doing all my research and talking with racers from all over the country...reading mag reviews....watching AMA Quad MX racing...and im down to 2 choices...
the LTR 450r or the KXF 450r....
ive got a list of all the pros and cons and as much as i hate to admit it....i think im gonna go with the Suzuki...
ive always been a Kawasaki guy (1st actual bike was a Kawi), but the con list is too long on the KXF...
i will be mostly MX racing (besides clowing around with the TBRD peeps and my family) with the bike and im pretty sold on getting a bike with the EFI as it is the future of ATV's and i will be on whatever i get for a while...so i will probably go brand new...and i want something i can pull of the showroom floor, bolt on a few goodies and compete...
im still shopping for my best deal OTD...and that may be the final deciding factor...
anybody care to chime in?

yeah Chris...the aluminum frame is a big plus for the KFX as is the reverse gear (nice for trail riding and if i do enter some XC races).....plus...it IS a Kawasaki....

i have considered that...but Creamer has put the KFX on the podium in 3 of 4 of the AMA MX rounds without breaking...although its a factory bike, they still use the same frame (btw swingarm is cast aluminum as well on the KFX, but the pros use aftermarket arms)...i havent read any reports of damaged frames (or swingarms) yet...but you have a good point...
i dont really count yamahas...they break when you look at them..:devillook:

I could be wrong, but aren't the kawi and the suzuki the same exact bike? I thought they did what they did when they launched the 400, and just made them the exact same...

Yes the 400 are the same but the 450 is competely diffrent as you can tell in the above pics.

Everyone's in business to make money. You just have to find who wants the sale more. The sales manager stayed past closing on saturday for me to pick it up.I told him if I cant ride it this sunday I dont want it:crackup::crackup:
They had to pick it up from there warehouse on saturday and had to put it togeather.I took me a few hours to get the price I wanted to pay and they didn't want me to leave without buying something so it worked out both ways

I bought my Raptor in Washington, but I bet the tactic would work here... I simply called every dealer (I also had financing ready) in a 2.5 hour radius, and told them I wanted a Red/White brand new Raptor, and what their best out the door price was if I came and got it in 3 hours. It would take a few minutes to explain what I was doing, but I think I ended up at 6100 out the door with t + t and I even got a free moto shirt. I gave them my bank info over the phone on the way there and when I got there they put it in my truck, I signed 4 papers and I left. Best experience of my life. I think the place was Condottas, http://www.condottas.com/. Best purchasing experience of my life.
P.S. When I was super young, like 17, RideNow (formerlly Team Savage) totally overcharged me and a couple friends on Polaris quads. Granted, we were young and took the deal because this idiot we knew (key word idiot) told us it was a good deal. I doubt they still do that, as I've been back a few times to go to the parts desk, or have someone in the tech dept slap a tube in the 80 and I haven't had any issues. Fair prices...

No you Don't know any thing about my deal with them.
Oh yeah I wanted them to change the numbers on the paper work and change it from an installment loan to a revolving credit card. I wanted them to split in into two loans with high interest on the second loan. I wanted them to screw me out of the GPS that was suppose to come with my Quad. Unless you were there in the room with me you know nothing about my deal with them. So DON'T tell me I wanted them to screw me....

This has to be Josh or a friend of Josh. Or again maybe you are the asshole that set up the finance deal. I have never tried to do business with RideNow again. Unless you are referring to the deal that Josh was trying to get me to take so that they could hide what they did. In any case this is the last time I will say any thing about this to you as you have no idea what you are talking about. Unless of course you are one of the above.. Then you do know what took place..

so what do you boys think about the LTR vs the KXF qwarshtin??
im leaning more and more toward the KXF.....im gonna have it while and with a few mods...shes pretty damn race ready....
ive been starting my cardio training...gotta lose about 20 lbs and been getting on the bicycle (which has always helped me riding MX or even fast paced on a street bike)...im thinking i should start practicing in mid June (just in time for the heat) and be ready for some summer series racing....im starting to get stoked...hopefully hanging around here i wont catch the injury bug:devillook:
