I got the opportunity to spend last weekend at Bill Ballance's place in Bowling Green, KY. He has a huge farm with a pretty sweet MX track. We rode the track all day on Saturday. Some of the jumps scared the hell out of me. He has some of the largest doubles I have ever seen. He also has a Mt. Waldo style step-up only instead of stepping up to a table, you were stepping up and over a huge double. It was crazy and if you crashed, you were hurtin' for certain. There were some crazy quad guys there clearing everything in sight. It was borderline ridiculous. There was only one table on the track and it was actually designed more as a landing surface for a huge jump just before it. I use the word just. It was probably 100' before it. Guys were hitting it 4th gear wide open and barely making it. Overall, it was a great day and Bill and his family are kind enough to rent out their track for private gatherings for a reasonable price.
