Isn't it amazing that the women in my office just cannot grasp how an air conditioning unit works?

They all just can't understand that if it is 78 in the room, jacking the air down to 70 doesnt help it cool any faster than it does if set at75 degrees. :tard[1]:

I just had to dig up this thread today. Now with the cold snap outside they are freakin because although the heat is on 68, when it hits 73 the air kicks on. :tard[1]::tard[1]:

The air is always set at 73. They say its colder now because its cold outside. They couldn't grasp that 73 degrees is STILL 73 degrees whether it's -20 out or 105!!!!!! :cussing: :cussing:

Crash if you want to really impress Billy become competant in learning how AC/Heaters work. He will love you for it forever.

haha I got the AC and heat down to a science. We both like it about 68 in the apartment in order to sleep comfortably.

Last night we had a similar discussion though... the air was on, windows were open, and the portable fan was on. I was layered up and still freezing so I asked him to turn something off, his argument was "thermostat says 68, it's no colder than usual, you're just weird" lol. I swear it felt much colder.

I love my mother in law, but she is the same. She is in boston and when its cold outside. She will set the heat at like 90. Then a couple of hours later she turns it off saying is to hot. Instead of setting on a fix temp.
