Its a woodruff key that replaces the stock key in the flywheel but it advances your ignition timing 6 degrees resulting in more throttle response and a lot of torque. Has anyone on here ever done this to their 400ex or know someone with it done?

i know ive seen/spoke to u on exriders.com b
but i finally finished mine up after all the fun of new gaskets etc and rode it..
at first i didnt think it did that much really..
but then i realized basically i was running a little lean...i fixed that(which it was probably lean before hand but i could tell a difference more with the key)
after that i went riding again..i was pretty amazed with the difference..i also realized why i couldnt feel it much at first..i was spinning through third so it didnt feel that fast ....once i got on the pavement and took off it lifted the tires shifting to 2nd and 3rd pretty easily which it didnt do before like it does now..
very nice upgrade for the money...
but now im more power hungry..
im thinkin a cam/416 11:1 piston/450r carb ..but before that i want a 14t front sprocket just to see how that power feels..i think for trails it will be very nice..

yeah I just got the key yesterday. I am ordering the gaskets today or tommorrrow. Then i'll probally have it in sometime next week. I'm going to do a few things at once, I haveto take off my skidplate cause i see some junk stuck between it and the motor so i'll clean it up real good, I have to get new o rings for the valve caps, change my oil filter and gasket, i'm switching back to full synthetic oil, and install the timing key. Hopefully i'm going ot croom this weekend and next weekend so this weekend i'll dirty up the oil some more, and next weekend i'll see how much of a beast the key made my 400ex into.
